We Can Help
Why come to see a Physiotherapist?
Physiotherapists are trained to diagnose problems in the joints and soft tissues of the body. A comprehensive assessment and treatment plan for your particular problem will be performed. Physiotherapy provides a wide range of treatments to relieve pain, promote relaxation and restore movement. If you are prone to injuries preventive advice can also be offered.
What conditions can be helped?
A wide variety of aches and pains can be successfully treated including amongst many others:
* Back pain/ sciatica/ ‘slipped disc’
* Neck pain (with or without arm pain)
* Frozen Shoulders
* Whiplash injury
* Sports injuries
* Tendonitis pains
What will Physiotherapy entail?
The initial session is the Assessment. This consists of the subjective aspect (lots of questions being asked) to build a clearer picture, followed by the objective aspect. The latter could be referred to as the ‘physical’ assessment. This then allows a diagnosis to be made. What does treatment consist of?
Following the assessment, an honest and understandable, evidence-based clinical diagnosis will be given. Depending on the problem, treatments may include any of the following:
* Specific exercises to improve function
* Core stability training (Pilates based)
* Manual therapy eg. Myofascial release, soft tissue massage
* Advice and reassurance
